did a little paper play yesterday. the top LO is my fave Starbucks and how i find it theraputic, but its also closing any time. the bottom LO is my welcome layout for Eleora. very much inspired by martha bonneau.

the wedding reception music conundrum

its now 6 1/2 weeks away and the final planning is..being planned. decorations etc. i also need to sort out music for the evening. this is a tough one, as our music taste would not go down well with other people. so how do we incorporate a bit of metallica, a bit of the specials etc into hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s? i was going to trawl through our cds and find tracks that had been played on the radio, thus making them familiar and not so scary. maybe some ska punk covers e.g. Reel Big Fish 'Take on Me'?

Went to Hobbycraft and spent that money..not so good.

Will now be overdrawn, and still have petrol to buy and a work lunch tomorrow.

But very pleased with the next buy...its a knitting bag, in the sale for 25% of the original price..perfect for transporting my girls to dolly meets!

a little sadness

i popped into Borders today and the closing down is coming quick. everything was half off, the shelves were practically empty, books were thrown all over the place. it was very sad. books deserve respect. i managed to rescue 4 lucky books from that hell hole..

also sad is that Starbucks inside Borders doesnt know when its last day is. all they know is that Borders is closing when all the stock is gone. could be monday, could be tomorrow. i love that Starbucks. it has such a lovely friendly atmosphere, plus, i've spent so much time there i know all the staff. i feel im losing friends.

And the unit is being filled by another clothes shop.

wedding update:

the wedding dress is all fitted and finished. i cant breathe very well so im hoping my sister isnt as brutal at doing it up as the dress lady.
hymns and readings all decided on, just need to sort out printing the order of service.
almost everyone invited is coming, which is really nice.

other news

our local Borders is closing, which im pretty gutted about. not only because of the huge selection of books and magazines and the Paperchase concession, but also because it houses my local Starbucks. and its going Aug 9th. if any of you are local to me and use this store, sign the petition here.
