did you all have a wonderful christmas? i was working christmas day, but the days either side were really good :) i got some lovely bits and i hope you all did too. new year is shaping up to be a let down but isnt it always!?

crazy weather

( disappointing amount of snow, now turning to ice..)

there was so much snow last night to the east of us that people were phoning in to work unable to get in, and people who were there couldnt get home! crazy! my drive home was fine. in fact, we hardly had any snow, but what we did have is now turning to ice. joy.

today i intend on making fudge. this could be interesting...

im feeling pretty gross at the moment. i hadn't been ill all year and then in the space of 3 months it's all hit me. it's only a cold at the moment but i have sandpaper throat!

went to see this today. it's really not a feelgood film..in fact, i wouldnt really say it's a kid's film. but it's good. i've even downloaded the soundtrack, which i think is beautiful.

hello ophelia!

after much deliberation, i finally had my eureka! moment regarding the name for my Pullip. Ophelia. and here she is! im not sure Pullip's will replace blythe's, but she's still a cutie.

i have diversified and bought myself a pullip! this is pullip celsiy. i need to decide on a name....at the moment im thinking either Ginny Marie or Phoebe Star. any other suggestions??

this week we made our gingerbread house. i think it looks like the door has been blown off its hinges, but i kinda like it!

i got an innocent smoothie with a hat on! the hat was the perfect size for little Nessie..

and my home town, swindon, is to be twinned with walt disney world! how random!!

december 1st!

argh i cant believe it! i opened my milky way advent calender and got a snowman choc. did anyone else do that at school...compare calender chocolates? i also opened my Lego pirate calender and got a pirate man. yay!



december was my month to post at Category Stories. We use wordpress for this and i have decided, i loathe wordpress. This month we're doing 'the best present i ever received' with the prize being a $15 voucher for pixie petals. This LO also doubled as sketch 26 at twisted sketches.

new sofa turned up at 930 this morning. looks fab. now we have to catch the cat when he emerges and clip his claws, before he decides to investigate it.



got a new tattoo yesterday. it took 2 1/2 hours and barely hurt at all.


bought this new kit from crafty templates. £15.99 including uk delivery. nice.

what a prize!

so like a large proportion of scrapbookers out there, i love looking at ali edwards blog. its always so full of inspiration and also quite frequently, giveaways. i entered one such last night and on checking this morning... I'VE WON!! she literally has comments in the thousands on her blog so im amazed! ive won an amazing prize of KI Memories bloom products (see picture on this post) consisting of papers, chipboard, rubons and epoxy stickers. how exciting!

*did a bit of scrapping for future challenges..
*bought some presents for bday and christmas..
*yesterday we had issues with some new furniture. one of the ranges has been discontinued so we only got half a delivery. apparently someone phoned marcus's work 3 DAYS AGO to tell us (he's been ill). if they knew they were stopping a range, could we not have been told weeks ago? or our items held? out order was placed 3 months ago and only held off delivery as we were waiting for a bed frame. very grr. to top it off, their customer services person was very rude and extremely unhelpful.

thats right, laugh. it's the beginning of October so it's time to play along at category stories. Firstly, a couple of points:

1. starting November, we'll be going back to one prompt per month.



2. No more flickr requirement. whilst it makes it easier to view all entries in one place, you dont have to.



3. our GDT contest is exteneded until october 15th. simply complete 2 of the previous 3 challenges (as far as i can tell, saturday morning cartoons, pampering me) and sent us an email with a short bio to category.stories@ymail.com
