You are talented, that is a lovely blanket - and will be a treasured keepsake in the future. I can't knit or crochet, I always seemed to end up with a different number of stitches to what i had started with. Mind you i haven't tried in years so perhaps i should give it a whirl.

It's so lovely! Imagine, there'll be somebody snuggled up under it very soon..
I hope so :-) I wanted to make it out of fancy yarn but cost was an issue. At least this washes well.
You tube was fab for learning to crochet!
