My Christmas planner week

Planner set up: week starting Dec 5
Here's my basic set up for next week.
Stickers are from Sunshine Sticker Co on etsy. It looks quiet so far, and the only plans at the moment are dinner with some friends on Friday, and taking the girls to see Christmas in a forest on Saturday.
Winter wedding
Yesterday my stepsister got married. It was a lovely country house, 45 minutes from home.
We hardly knew anyone.
The wedding was at 130 and the food wasn't until 5, so we had very tired, hungry children.
We didn't actually eat anything.
Weddings with small children are very stressful affairs.

Wish
I decided to use nap time to do something for me, so pulled out the last lite kit from crafty templates and a picture from Rosalind's first birthday. I don't usually use coloured card as a base, I'm not sure why but I struggle to make it work.
I'm really happy with how this turned out. Maybe I'm getting my scrap back?

Letter to santa
Sitting at her desk, carefully writing her letter to the big guy.
Santa has already been shopping so hopefully she'll be happy.

Preparing for next week
Next week is my last week where my planner is non festive. I've gone for an Alice in Wonderland theme and as you can see, Monday I will be going down the rabbit hole when little Miss has her (belated) one year immunisations. I'm dreading it. We already have rubbish sleep from this one!!

Confessions of a Plannerholic: Hallowe'en decorations
The planner charm started life as a necklace from h&m children's section which I cut down to size.

September's sticker haul
I've been a bit naughty this month. I had my first decent pay after maternity leave so decided to treat myself to some sticker goodness. I don't have to feel too guilty as planner stickers are reasonably priced and you can use as many or few as you like.
I've already bought some more for October, but that's another post!

Roald Dahl dress up day
Big girl's school was very sensible and kept the Roald Dahl dress up say until now. We haven't read much Roald Dahl together, and have only covered Charlie and the Children Factory, so our character choice was from there. We went with Violet Beauregard, and mummy made a golden ticket. She loved it.

Big girl!!
Today was madam's first day at school! I say day, but they like to ease them in so really it was two hours.
She was so excited. Her 'session' didn't start until 1pm, but from 630 this morning she was asking to go (that enthusiasm won't last).
As they all do, Ella looked adorable and too grown up in her uniform, complete with large blue bruise on her forehead from a fall yesterday. We walked into her class and she was straight off to the painting with barely a glance in my direction!
Afterwards, we went and had Costa as a 'first day' treat.
They grow so quickly!!

The Stationery Geekette book box
At the beginning of the month I won a box from a new, UK based, subscription box, The Stationery Geekette on etsy. Boxes are £15 plus postage and include a book and at least three other items sourced from independent sellers. Subscribers are allocated a 'house' with a list of photo challenges and points awarded. Today my box arrived.
Naughty Royal Mail had apparently had a fight with my box but never mind. All items were still there.
The book was Alice by Christina Henry and will be coming with me to work tonight. I also received a book mark, pen, postcard, snitch charm and stickers which will be going in my planner.
I can't wait to read the book and look forward to seeing what's lined up next for the box club!

Planner planning
Love these stickers from AdorkableStickers stickers on etsy. These are Big Bang Theory and Firefly themed. I also have Muppets to use at a later date.

Back to the grindstone
It's happened. I have returned to the world of work! My poor brain was going fuzzy and I woke up singing songs from musical toys!
This return to work has been more stressful than the first as Rosalind still wakes twice a night which is an extra thing for Marcus to contend with. Luckily she happy take bottles and so far, goes to bed better for him than me!
Another change is that having returned to roller derby, I'm not sure it's for me right now, at least I the team's current format. If they start a rec league then maybe. I just don't have the time with two little ones right now!!

Planner kits
If you love your planners, no doubt you will, at some point, have looked online for decorative stickers and charms to personalise it.
There are so many planner kits out there to suit all tastes and budgets. I've found three UK based kits for you, one of which I've tried, the others I have looked at.
1. UglyBugDoes. This has a bit of an 'alternative' feel to it. Previous have included Day of the Dead and Superheroes. (Photo credit threelittlebuhos on IG)
2. Little rainbow moon this kit is very arty. If you like your art journals then this is for you.
3. Mrs Brimbles this is a more mainstream kit and includes, stickers, post its, pens, charms as well as other fun items.
Have a look for a planner kit, I'm sure there's one out there for you!
Edited to add, link for little rainbow moon is incorrect. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/littlerainbowmoon

Canal trip
E has been asking for ages to go on 'the boat at the shop with the peppa pig Jelly' (canal next to waitrose). As the weekend just gone was the airshow at Fairford, and we couldn't afford that, we decided to splash a few pennies and take her on the boat.
It's a renovated canal run entirely as a charity and staffed by volunteers. Wiltshire and Berkshire canal trust
It was a lovely, peaceful trip. Taking just under an hour. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Experimental baking
I love a bit of experimental baking. And it's even better when the results smell and taste good!
I'd been looking for a baked oats recipe suitable for baby hands and which didn't contain a lot of sugar, when I stumbled across this recipe for baby led weaning oat bars.
I made a few tweaks but used the basic recipe. And they taste yum.

Foiled, again .
Twice so far we've been to pick your own for the obligatory strawberries (once being Open Farm Sunday) and twice we've been too late. The late British summer has meant the strawberries are ripening late. I hope Wimbledon copes!
Despite the lack of the red stuff we've managed to have a lovely time both times.

Eugh
Can someone find my 'me'? I'm struggling right now to find the get up and go to do anything. I want to be creative but can't create. There's an itch and I just can't scratch it.

Cornish getaway
Last week we returned to our favourite caravan park in North Cornwall, where we spent the week enjoying the beach, ice cream, fudge, walks and a calmer pace of living.
