picked up a copy of a UK sewing publication called sew hip in borders. its fab!! loads of easy fun projects and links to shops, as well as fab articles. it linked me to morsbags, a site for people who make reusable shopping bags to give out to the public!

sweet spuds RAK

*(sorry the pic is dark, it gets dark so early now!) i picked up this lovely box of goodies from the post office today. im not sure about the tinkering ink Finery but love the jenni bowlin rub ons and the scenic route chipboard book.

*i ended up not waking until 11am today! i was exausted from 3 really busy 12 hour shifts. i was a little annoyed as i had a few things i wanted to do but obviously needed it!

*i still managed to crank out a couple of layouts with novembers sweet spuds kit.

ive just finished 3 busy busy days at work. so busy i got up at 11 am today! i plan to do some scrapping and sewing and should hopefully have some pics later.

i dreamt about the elusive PD marigold last night. elusive because she will be far too expensive for anyone outside of japan!

last night at work was horrendous. it was a conveyor belt of things going wrong. a night from hell.

work related injuries.

well, one was work related and one due to careless box opening. first of all, whilst doing tea i managed to get a paper cut UNDER my index finger nail. ouch. then at work i had to use brute force to open a bag of IV fluid and bruised my knuckle. both injuries on my right hand. i am right handed. woe is me!! to top it off, the cut under my nail has gone infected.

back to work tonight :( feel for me!

sigh. back to work tomorrow night after a week and a half off. it's always so hard to motivate myself!! but on the plus side, im off for 5 days over christmas! yay!! im going to have to swap one shift though, as im down for nights on Cherry Poppin Daddies day but that shouldnt be a problem.

so we DID have a ps3. i was looking forward to getting Little Big Planet and Final Fantasy XIII. but it stopped working. so it's going back. and we probably wont get another because marcus has 'lost faith' with them. :(

christmas crafts

i havent scrapped for a little while, but decided it was high time i made a start on my list of christmas craft makes. so today (after id gone and bought a dark cherry mocha from starbucks...mmmmm) i drew up a template for stockings and here's what i ended up with..(the little one is for out cat, Tom).
i also made my new petite, Nessie, a christmas outfit using the template on dinky divas.

last but not least, i started my gift tag additions, this year im doing embroidered, stuffed christmas trees. i cant decide if the fabric is too dark or how im going to close it: blanket stitch or machine. help!

Remember them

today was Rememberance Sunday over here. a day to remember those who have fought for us in conflicts past and present. marcus and me went to the cenotaph in town for the 2 minutes silence and to see the poppy wreaths being laid.

also got tickets to see these guys . yup. cherry poppin daddies.

*got a petite blythe in the post. she's a Feline Fancy and i have called her Nessie as an ode to her green hair..

*got my huge RAK from ronda palazzari .

*won challenge 9 on say it in scrap for my travel envy layout.

*bought these fab silver shoes as my present from marcus for christmas. i think they look like dancing shoes! *tonight i am taking my 6 year old nephew to see HSM3. cant wait :)
