sketch 55 goes up at twisted sketches today. the twist this time is 'flag', so ive use the red, white and blue from the union jack.

im taking my car into the garage later today to have the deer damage fixed, then later on it's England's final group match for the World Cup! they have to win to go through, so here's hoping they pull their fingers out.

I dont talk about work much, due to confidentiality, but yesterday was a fab day. i went out as an observer on a retrieval, picking a baby up from another hospital. the other nurse i was with has said that next time, im leading it! scary thought but very exciting, and a big complement that she thinks i can do it :)

today i also managed to do a little scrapping, non dolly related! first is sketch53 for twisted sketches. it doesnt go live until tomorrow but my unreliable internet access means im putting it up today..
my second Lo is getting to be a tradition. the birthday card on. tags are from shabby chic crafts, single button onthe bottom left is from kittyrobot.

this sucks.

so im very sorry for my continuing absence. the reason for this is we recently tried to change internet providers and each time there was an issue at the telephone exchange. we found out today (3 days before our new internet was supposed to go through) that the exchange our number is routed through does not support broadband. great. so im currently sat in the library, getting my internet fix. you dont realise how much you rely on internet until it isnt there!!

Today the new sketch went up over at twisted sketches, and the twist this week was 'clean'. having just had my hair cut, it gave me the perfect photo op!!

yesterday i got ANOTHER blythe doll! (sorry for those of you that dont like them, picture following). She's a CanCanCat and had horribly greasy box hair. So one hair wash later i also changed her lashes. I found a necklace in town with a cute bottle on with a piece of paper saying 'once upon a time' for her pull charm. im calling her Mab, as in the Queen of the Winter Faeries from a Jim Butcher book.

ali edwards is looking at her 'week in the life' project. im tempted to do this this year, maybe the last week in may which is my birthday week.

seeing as tomorrow i will be at university scared and nervous about an assessment, i though i would share sketch 43 from twisted sketches with you now.

i was really pleased with this one! scrap mojo is still on holiday but showing itself every now and then.

im a wee bit nervous about my assessment on wednesday. there's no way i can describe it but it's like a scenario where i have to walk in and assess a child, but it has to be done in a certain order. i had funny dreams about it last night.

I would much rather be playing Final Fantasy XII.

i should finally be picking my car up tuesday. if you want a new car and are impatient, buy off the forecourt. it takes forever if the car isnt in the country.

nothing else happening here. a friend of mine is pregnant which is exciting, but other than that, its all quiet on the western front!!

a category and a sketch

its new category time over at category stories, with our guest this month being amy lapi! the prompt for this month was '---was one of her very best friends'. my Lo is about my friend nicole and how we always pick up where we left, even though we dont see each other much any more.

I also doubled up this LO for sketch 39 from twisted sketches which used the twist 'fabric'. As you can see, my flower embellies use the twist.

the new sketch is up at twisted sketches, and this week the twist is wood. ive used woodgrain paper for the title, kittyrobot woodgrain buttons and a real wood button. journalling tag from shabby chic crafts and handmade flower.

the new sketch is up at Twisted Sketches, this week the twist being to use frames. all bits except alpha stickers were from my gorgeous quirky kit from crafty templates.

im feeling pretty gross at the moment. i hadn't been ill all year and then in the space of 3 months it's all hit me. it's only a cold at the moment but i have sandpaper throat!

december 1st!

argh i cant believe it! i opened my milky way advent calender and got a snowman choc. did anyone else do that at school...compare calender chocolates? i also opened my Lego pirate calender and got a pirate man. yay!



december was my month to post at Category Stories. We use wordpress for this and i have decided, i loathe wordpress. This month we're doing 'the best present i ever received' with the prize being a $15 voucher for pixie petals. This LO also doubled as sketch 26 at twisted sketches.
