im turning into a right little Martha Stewart. these little butter cookies are only 1 1/2" and very more-ish!! here's the recipe in case you want to give them a go. they're super easy.

115g butter (softened)
85g caster sugar
175g plain white flour
1/2 tsp ground cinammon

• preheat oven to 190'. grease several trays.
• beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• sift flour and cinammon into bowl and mix with hand. gather mix together.
• take walnut sized piecese and roll into a ball. place on baking tray ( can be fairly close, they done spread much).
• using a fork dipped in cold water, gently flatten each ball with prongs/
• bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. leave to cool slightly before transferrring to cooling rack.

time for the new question on 52Q, what am i grateful for right now?

last year we had problems with birds nesting in our loft, until we got someone into fill the holes. this year the birds keep trying and on discovering they cant get in, all decide to poo on my car in protest. so today i washed said car. it could have been a mess, as one of our buckets had had turps in but Other Half couldnt remember which bucket. well, its now been 3 hours and all paint appears to still be on my car.

i made another dolly dress. i didnt manage to make the pleats even so its a bit squiffy:

i got a package of kittyrobot buttons which i cant wait to play with.

will be baking, probably butter cookies

have to go post more ebay stuff. no doubt it will cost lots more than i charged for postage.

bought the newest qtea kit

realised i love all the songs by Kimya Dawson on the Juno soundtrack. will have to check out some of her other stuff, as well as Mouldy Peaches.

and then i did challenge 15 for say it in scrap. i made this one quite personal.

i still havent figured out the turtle eye issue. i think its going to be a case of brute strength.

a proactive day

baked peanut butter and choc chip cookies (very bad, very yum!)

bought some Fimo and had a go at making some buttons..

(they will be painted)

cut and started to sew some dolly dresses.

went to hobbycraft and looked through the knitting and crochet pattern books. i will be brave. looking at silje's blog and her amazing knitted jumpers gives me hope. especially as she hasnt been doing it all that long. also tried to find some cool fabric for a quilt but i resent paying £10 a metre ($15).
