bit of a shock

Yesterday hubby and myself had an appointment at the hospital as my midwife was a little concerned that baby was on the small side. Turns out baby is fine size wise, but is in fact breech..or bum down. Apparently the guidelines for maternity units now state that elective caesareans are performed for breech births, especially if its a first baby. So we're going in on monday!! A c section was everything i didnt want for this birth, but i guess the 'experts' know best. So if all is quiet on the blog front then thats why!!

ive also got a funny feeling baby might be coming sooner rather than later, due to weird aching feelings im getting in the morning..

bump and blanket

The wool has been chosen and colour order decided. im now on the green which is labelled 'spring green' but should be renamed 'with a hint of dayglo'. tis very bright. im tempted to buy a cream/neutral colour to tone it down!!
hubby decided i needed another Bump piccie, so here it is, looking massive and full and round....ha!!

week 32.

bump is a little bigger now. baby is moving like crazy and has its feet pressed against my diaphragm most of the time so im struggling to breath. the midwife measured me last week and im 2cm less than i should be, apparently 2cm is fine but if it happens at my next appt in 2 weeks i'll need another scan.



i finally managed to finish my baby blanket.

28 weeks...

its hard to see that bump is growing but maybe it all depends on the time of day the photo is taken...it always seems smaller in the morning!

the cot is up in the baby room, and although we know the sex, until its here we wont buy toomuch more stuff.....just in case!

ive come to the conclusion that this lady needs to move home. what with baby coming and having recently moved house, i cant afford dollies that dont get the attention.

week 20 and other stories

baby has cooked to week 20 now, and is moving all the time and kicking nicely. Bump is growing slowly and has a nice shape, so i now look pregnant rather than have eaten too much...

this year ive decided to crochet some christmas presents.

i also used some of the silver flecked wool to make another blythe hat which is listed in my etsy.

ive also picked some gender neutral colours for a baby blanket. i went with Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, and if we decided to find out the sex, can add in the appropriate colour palette as needed.

bump at 16 weeks..not that different to 12 weeks..

growing slowly. but surely. am now 16 weeks so bump is a bit bigger. the sickness has stopped, the tiredness has stopped, i finally feel human.

in 26 weeks my husband and I will be joined by this little person!
