Hey look! I've made stuff!
Today was one of my rare child free days, so I took the opportunity to get out my quirky kits (i have three untouched!) and managed two layouts before I had to crack on with numerous jobs. Days off are not rest days!!

Learning with toddlers
I see a lot of posts online now which say they have fantastic ideas for teaching your toddler to read, write, count etc, but I'm not sure how I feel about these. Surely this age should be allowed to play and learn as and when they're ready, not have it sneakily forced on them? I'm no saying I want my daughter to be illiterate when she starts school, far from it, but I want her to learn in the best way for her, and personally I feel that involves play. My daughter likes colouring and counting but in her own way. Educational games do not interest her at all. Originally I was a little worried but now I know she'll do it when she's ready.

Number two
We've grown another little one, due end of October. That makes me 16 weeks yesterday.
Because of feeling generally rubbish the last 16 weeks, I have two scrapbook kits sitting unused. We're due to go to france soon so hopefully when I come back I can get them out.

A very busy easter
Easter weekend, as usual, was four, glorious days long. To top it off, M took an extra days holiday so we had five days together.
We ate out, Even had her first cinema experience, saw family, ate ice cream, went to parks, played crazy golf. But most of all, we did it together. It was lovely.

Bubble tea
On Tuesday I had my first experience of bubble tea. It was bizarre but I can't stop thinking about it!

The black pearl
Today was the first solar eclipse for 15 years. And just like 15 years ago (when I was a gawky 16 year old working in McDonald's) it was cloudy. But this time the cloud actually helped.

It was a bit brighter than I Imagined....
I've recently finished a cardigan for my daughter. She chose the colour and the buttons (sparkly), but it became clear the closer to finishing I got, that this jumper was going to be incredibly bright...
Colour is Stylecraft Matador.
