So my derby team are hosting a home bout at the end of this month and I really wanted to play. I've been told I've improved tonnes lately and my confidence has really shot up, but Sunday I was told I hadn't made the team. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The reasons given were poor and there are people playing who I never thought we're particularly strong. It's really knocked my confidence.

I spy Jupiter

Last night myself and my husband watched Stargazing on tv, and afterwards, we went out to see what we could spy. It was a perfectly clear night, and right above us, brighter than everything else, was Jupiter.

A busy few days!

Derby girls celebrate Christmas

A new obsession?

For quite a while I have seen people posting pictures of beautiful organisers, mainly filofaxes. After lots of admiring I decided to take the plunge, but I wasn't willing to pay the huge prices for an official one. So after much hunting I found this beauty.

Nearly saw Santa

Nanny decided she wanted to take E to see Santa. So we went, it was all exciting outside but as soon as we got in, the tears started. She backed away into a corner and refused to come out!

Outside in the Christmas market there were reindeer! Unfortunately by that time, E was getting tired and grumpy, and my attempt to get a photo of her meeting them was unsuccessful.
